Temperature 21+/- 3 Relative humidity 55 +/- 5 If you have properly calibrated and tuned AHU no need for dehumidifier unless manufacturers advice Dr Nirmal Fredrick

Sir, 21 minus 3 will be too cold. Why not around 23 which is more comfortable? Dr MS Ravindra Bangalore

Most national international reference ranges cannot be single number. Because of huge geographical and seasonal variations reference given as range. Local engineers and surveyors would help in arriving at appropriate parameters for a city / town Dr Nirmal Fredrick

In Mumbai in this rains sometimes it's so difficult to maintain humidity so low . It's nt practically possible sometimes even with dehumidifier . And even worse for small ots with no proper ahu and just split acs etc . Does humidity really cause damage malfunction machines often .. .? Dr Ronak

At the end of surgical sessions esp the Modular OTs If you touch your Microscope or Verion- you can confirm that they are pretty cold Once you close the OT , often you may find moisture/ droplets over these sensitive instruments Such humidity slowly damages the coatings of Costly Lens assembly in the microscope & other parts of Electronics in all the equipments *To avoid this slow but sure damage* In Coastal cities e.g. Mumbai Dehumidifier is essential You may be surprised to note that from our Main OT & Femto OT the dehumidifier is collecting 3-4 litres of water !!!!

Please contact your equipment manufacturer or refer the American, japanese or European standards they follow. Set temperature humidity as per their recommendations. Unfortunately we don't take into account all these parameters and local geographic variable s in purchase decisions Dr Nirmal Fredrick
